We’re Back and we’ve missed you all! After having to cancel for the last 2 years due to covid, we’re so excited to be bringing the annual Peanut Festival back to Brooklet this year!

2021 Brooklet Peanut Festival Canceled
The Brooklet Community Development Association has announced that the 32nd Annual Brooklet Peanut Festival has been canceled this year due to COVID-19. The festival was scheduled for September 18 and 19.
Brooklet Peanut Festival
Since 1990, Celebrate the peanut with recipes, cookoffs, a peanut run, parade, street dance, live entertainment, great food and arts and crafts. A shuttle will be provided throughout downtown Brooklet with designated stops.

Brooklet Peanut Festival canceled due to rising COVID cases in community
BROOKLET, Ga. (WTOC) – Organizers of one South Georgia festival say they’re cancelling again this year.
Committee members for the Peanut Festival in Brooklet made their decision Monday night. They pointed to the increase of COVID cases in Bulloch and surrounding counties.
The chairman also noted the average age of the volunteers as a concern. It was scheduled to happen Sept. 18.
The committee chair says this decision was tougher than last year’s call to cancel.
“It was the toughest decision we’ve ever had to make. We hated it. But, for the good of the community, we felt it was the best thing we could do,” Festival Chairman Randy Newman said.
He says they’ll start issuing refund checks to vendors who’d already paid their fees. He says they’re already looking forward to 2022.

If you’ve never heard of Brooklet, you have now. Brooklet is a small town in Southeast Georgia. We are located in Bulloch County only about 45 minutes from Savannah.
Our festival is held each year on the third Saturday in August. There are many aspects to our festival. Links to the areas of the festival can be found above.
THE 26TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL WAS HELD ON AUGUST 15, 2015!
Volunteers offer a free shuttle service with designated shuttle stops.
Here is a brief rundown of what happened at the Annual Brooklet Peanut Festival:
7 AM – Peanut Run
10 AM – Parade Begins (televised on WTOC cable Channel 11 Savannah)
Beginning at 10 AM – Arts & Crafts, Food, and Amusement Vendors available
Beginning following the parade – Live Free Entertainment at the festival site
7 PM – Street Dance Begins
10:30 PM – Street Dance Ends, Farewell to another great festival
