Egyptian Star Flower produces pretty, white, star-shaped flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Grow in garden beds or in containers. During the growing season, water regularly (allow soil to dry somewhat between waterings) and feed monthly. It flowers best in sunny locations, but will tolerate some shade. May be grown as a houseplant in a sunny room with high humidity.

Graffiti White Pentas

Pentas are absolutely perfect for the front edge of a flower garden or in containers. Colorful clusters of star-shaped blooms are set just above the shiny compact foliage, producing non-stop color throughout the season. Uniform, 12-15” plants are heat and drought tolerant.

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 8-12 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-75ºF soil temperature. Transplant apart after the last frost, 12” apart.

The Penta Graffiti White produces a green foliage and adorns itself with white multi-flowering blooms. The dense upright growth habit and colorful blooms makes this a great choice for landscape, baskets and containers! Its blooms are atop its lovely mounding foliage that matures to 12-14” tall and about 24” wide. It blooms all through early Summer and Fall. The Penta is desired most for its ever-blooming blossoms, heat tolerance, low maintenance and mounding growth habit for landscape, beds, baskets and containers. This is a great annual for early Spring, Summer and Fall.

& Maintenance Tips The Penta prefers sun but can handle some shade and grow best in moist, well drained soil. The Penta is an ever-blooming producer, but does appreciate being deadheaded to increase the blooms. Pentas, originally from Africa, have been a popular summer bloomer in Texas for many years. They do require regular watering, and are not the best choice for xeriscaping. Ideal for flowerbeds with good drainage and container planting.

The shiny and deeply veined foliage is a beautiful backdrop for the constant display of star shaped tubular flowers appearing in clusters from late spring to fall. Available in many colors, Graffiti White is a cultivar with white flowers. No matter the color, pentas easily attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Pentas are often treated as an annual in central to north Texas, however can be perennial in southern Texas.
