The executable gets signed with invalid entitlements in Xcode
For those who have the same problem with Provisioning Profile Automatic in the targets Build Settings:
Be very careful when you edit your targets entitlements file! This might break the correspondence to the automatically generated provisioning profile, and you will get this error.
In my case, I had to use temporarily the iCloud production containers with debug builds. To do so, I inserted
com.apple.developer.icloud-container-environment Production in the entitlements file and this worked!
To remind me that I had later to remove these lines, I further inserted simply the following comment:
TODO The entry below must be out commented or deleted to use the iCloud development environment. And this broke the correspondence, and created the error.
The executable was signed with inv…
I switched my provisioning to Automatic to try and get rid once for all of the certificate problems. Yet once I did it and for a time everything worked fine, the fearsome error:
The executable was signed with invalid entitlements. The entitlements specified in your application’s Code Signing Entitlements file do not match those specified in your provisioning profile.
came out, with the additional problem that when I used the manual provisioning I had the **** option of deleting all the profiles and recreate them again, but with automatic provisioning it is eveything done by Xcode and so I do not know what to do to fix the thing.
Any suggestion?

I trying to run my app on a device with xcode, it’s an ionic app, with xcode 9,
I had no problem but since I have updated to xcode 10 I keep getting this error message every time:
The entitlements specified in your application’s Code Signing Entitlements file are invalid, not permitted, or do not match those specified in your provisioning profile.(0xE8008016).
I have tried everything I found online
1.adding capabilities,
2.changing build settings,
3.config.xml.

So have spent a full day now trying to reinsall an Adobe AIR app to an iPad.
Upadted Adobe air SDK to latest 32.0 and have tried re-creating my certificates and provisioning profile from scratch.
If I try to deploy directly from Adobe AIR I get an error message
“Application verification failed”
If instead I publish an .ipa and try and deploy via XCode I get the following
If I furthermore check entitlements on my app.bundle I see
application-identifier
foo.domain.app
get-task-allow
aps-environment
development but checking entitlements in my Provisioning profile I see
get-task-allow Could this be the source of my error? If so, how do I get both these values to be the same?
Any replies welcome as I need to launch this!

I got this error with Xcode when I try to run the app on my device.
The executable was signed with invalid entitlement
It worked fine with old Xcode Anyone knows how to get rid of the error?
iphone – The executable was signed with invalid entitlements
If you once come into the situation, that checking “get-task-allow” seems to be required in order to deploy your debug (!) build to your phone, check this:
a) Check the build setting. There should be no entry in “Code Signing Entitlements” for Debug b) Remove Entitlements.plist temporarily and build your debug version. If it complains about a missing Entitlements.plist, then you probably have the same situation, I had to fight today. c) Build again with Entitlements.plist and enable “get-task-allow”. If it works now, you probably have the same problem:
After messing around with new profiles I couldn’t deploy my Debug build to the phone. AdHoc was fine. I checked a) – empty.. Hmm. I checked b) – complains. c) – worked…
After all I examined project.pbjproj in an editor and – although the GUI did claim, that there was no entry for “Code Signing Entitlements” in fact there was one in the Debug section. I emptied it and was done.
Keep getting Invalid entitlements when defining custom ones
I am trying to add the Universal Links and Fonts entitlement to my project so I created a Entitlements file like below after updating the identifier for the app. Next, I regenerated my certificates and provision profiles. If I now check the provision file for iOS Development in Quickview the entitlements are listed.
I saved the files in Resources/[BinaryName].entitlements and it’s marked as a AppResource .
application-identifier 2943B48G98.uk.xxx.apps.BinaryName com.apple.developer.associated-domains applinks:pay.tapico.cloud webcredentials:example.com com.apple.developer.team-identifier 2943B48G98 com.apple.developer.user-fonts app-usage system-installation get-task-allow keychain-access-groups 2943B48G98.* com.apple.token Only when I try to run the application on the phone it’s failing when it tries to deploy it to the iPhone with the error:

You are using Entitlement file
The entitlements file defines certain anycodings_iphone capabilities of your app. Usually, the anycodings_iphone file is automatically generated by Xcode anycodings_iphone when you enable a capability for your anycodings_iphone app. You only need the file if you anycodings_iphone enable certain capabilities, e.g. anycodings_iphone Healthkit integration. If you’d like to anycodings_iphone use these features, you have to add it. anycodings_iphone Otherwise, Apple will reject your app.
To fix this
Go to the build settings of your target.
Make sure that you have “All” selected instead of “Basic”
Type “entitlements” into the search box
The result is the build setting where you can specify where your entitlements file is located
Remove them
You are using the wrong Provisioning anycodings_iphone Profile
A provisioning profile is a collection anycodings_iphone of digital entities that uniquely ties anycodings_iphone developers and devices to an authorized anycodings_iphone iPhone Development Team and enables a anycodings_iphone device to be used for testing. A anycodings_iphone Development Provisioning Profile must be anycodings_iphone installed on each device on which you anycodings_iphone wish to run your application code.
Go to Build Settings > Code Signing > Provisioning Profile
Select a development profile under Team
Please ensure that the Team in the anycodings_iphone project, target and tests are the same.
Bundle Identifier and App ID do not anycodings_iphone match
Go to the build settings of your target
Select Packaging and change your App ID to match the Bundle ID
Clear cache in Xcode
Command-Option-Shift-K to clean out the anycodings_iphone build folder. Even better, quit Xcode anycodings_iphone and clean out anycodings_iphone ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData anycodings_iphone manually.
